Is there a website that has information about gay life or gay tourist information for Toronto?
I’m getting to visit home in May and I want to know where the gayborhood is, where all the art attractions are and any other events like that. I tried to google it, but I’m having a hard time weeding out the adult sites without actually opening them.

where can i find information on ‘Tourist destinations and its development in South Asia’?
things like – development of tourism industry, factors responsible for development of tourism industry, economic importance of tourism industry, economic importance and advantages of tourism industry, problems of tourism industry in south asia, tourist destinations and their development in south asia.
South Asian tourism has operated at sub-optimal levels for a long period of time. With the exception of the Maldives and more recently India, all other countries need to work harder towards achieving more conducive operating environments for the tourism industry. Accounting for only 1.1% of the global visitor arrivals, South Asia’s recent growth levels indicate promise of the region’s ability to move forward, harnessing the vast potential that exists.
In my mind, South Asian Tourism could not take off in the past, as a result of three problems. They are:
1. Lack of a pragmatic approach of our political and bureaucratic leadership towards identifying and exploiting socio-political and economic opportunities and the prevalence of an environment of mistrust between India and Pakistan in the past,
2. Self-imposed limitation of access to and within the region as a result of an introvert attitude and
3. Resultant political instability, absence of rapid economic growth and ways of distributing even the growth achieved to minimise poverty.
Following are a series of process-based actions that are proposed to achieve the objective stated above:
* Further liberalise air access between countries of SAARC, facilitating any SAARC airline to operate to other SAARC countries without restriction
* Facilitate ocean and other water based, road and highway and railway transportation of people of the SAARC (to serve tourism as well) through the liberal operation of fast ferry services, shipping services and cruising operations and exploring road and rail transport options
* Undertake joint programmes at both regional and bi-lateral levels to jointly develop infrastructure and institutions needed for setting in place tourism operations and investments driven in the main by the private sector or as public/private partnership ventures
* Commence joint initiatives at both governmental and private sector operator levels to enhance the current Buddhist circuit, the Ramayana Trail and other regional and bilateral thematic tour circuits
* Undertake the publication of an annual South Asian Tourism Events Directory (to be published an year in advance to enable tour sales for the events)
* Commence a twinning of cities programme within the SAARC region Establish a SARRC joint Climate Change Response using Sri Lanka’s pioneering ‘Tourism Earth Lung’ initiative as the platform
Conclusion
Have you ever been on vacation and went to a tourist information booth and asked …?
"Tell me about some of the people who were here last year."
I mean it is a tourist information booth, right?!?
If so … what happened?

Pristine forests of Namdapha
It is a land of lush green forests, deep river valleys and beautiful plateaus. The land is mostly mountainous with the Himalayan range along the northern borders criss-crossed with ranges running north-south. These divide the state into five river valleys: the Kameng, the Subansiri, the Siang, the Lohit and the Tirap. All these are fed by snow from the Himalayas and countless rivers and rivulets.
The weather and the climate of Arunachal Pradesh are quite distinct from the rest of the country. The climate of the State is dominated by the Himalayan system and the altitudanal variations. The climate is highly hot and humid at the lower altitudes and in the valleys covered by swampy dense forest particularly in the eastern section, while it becomes exceedingly cold in the higher altitudes. Average temperature during the winter months range from 15 to 21 degree celsius and 22 to 30 degree celsius during monsoon.

There are 26 major tribes and a number of sub-tribes inhabiting the area. Most of these communities are ethnically similar, having derived from original Mongoloid stock but their geographical isolation from each other has brought amongst them certain distinctive characteristics in language, dress and customs.
Broadly, the entire population may be divided into three cultural groups based on their socio-politico-religious affinities. The Monpas and Sherdak Pens of Tawang and West Kameng districts follow the lamaistic tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. Culturally similar to them are Membas and Khembas who live in the high mountains along the northern borders, Khamptis and Singphos inhabiting the eastern part of the State are Buddhists of Hinayana sect. They are said to have migrated from Thailand and Burma long ago and still using ancient scripts derived from their original homeland.

Their religious rituals, largely coincide with the phases of agricultural cycles. They traditionally practise Jhuming or shifting cultivation. The third group comprises Noctes and Wanchos in the Tirap district . These are hardy people known for their structured village society in which the hereditary village chief still plays a vital role. The Noctes also practise elementary form of Vaishnavism.
Tourist missing in Hong Kong: help find Ani Ashekian 1/7
On November 9, 2008, Ani Ashekian left Xian, China on a Dragon Airlines flight to Hong Kong.
On November 10, Ani Ashekian was seen in Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui and also Causeway Bay.
And then on November 11, Ani Ashekian disappeared without a trace.
Tourists in Hong Kong simply don’t vanish. Last year, more than 29 million visitors passed through Hong Kong’s borders and this native to Canada was one of them.
But according to the Immigration Department, there is no record of Ani ever having left Hong Kong.
There have been no e-mails or phone calls to friends and family. There has been no activity on her bank accounts. There is no electronic or print paper trail. The pervasive digital traces we all generate in today’s information driven society there are none for Ani Ashekian.
Eight months have passed since anyone has last seen or heard from her. It’s a mystery with many questions and few clues, and it’s a mystery that has left family members and loved ones longing for information.
How could a tourist simply disappear in Hong Kong one of the safest cities in the world?
