Official video: Halcyon Cove by rex resorts – Antigua
Like all rex resorts, Halcyon Cove is right on the beach, so you won’t have far to travel for your pre-breakfast swim or romantic, moonlit stroll. The resort is located on the shores of Dickenson Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. It’s also a great place from which to explore Antigua and perhaps discover some of the other 300-plus beaches on and around this lovely island. Islanders proudly claim they have a beach for every day of the year!
During the day, Halcyon Cove has a range of activities for you to enjoy. Make the most of the beach location with water sports, relax around the freshwater outdoor pool, enjoy a game of tennis, or just settle down with a good book in our landscaped tropical gardens.
Evenings at Halcyon Cove are all about delicious food and authentically caribbean entertainment. Once the sun has gone down, the Arawak Terrace plays host to a buffet of delicious creole cuisine, alongside international favourites for less adventurous palates. One of Halcyon Cove’s most spectacular places to be is Warri Pier, our romantic a la carte restaurant, located on its own pier overlooking the ocean. After dinner, the elegant Ciboney Lounge is a great place to relax and take in some traditional Antiguan culture, whilst the lively Lobby Bar hosts a range of music-based entertainment.

Has anyone ever taken the Three vacations for the price of one offers that has come across their fax?
My fiance received a fax in her office about three vacations for the price of one from the "Corporate Travel Department." She works for a rather large company, but I dont believe they have a formal travel department. I, myself, have received similar faxes in the past at my business, but have thrown them away. Considering gas prices this summer, I figure it might be worth looking into. Anyone ever done this? What was your personal experience?
Hello
I would say Scam. I’m a Police Dispatcher in U.K, and we would get loads of them at the Station. The ones we recieved , you had to fax back, at about £1+ ($2) minute for info, or it was a high price phone number to call back.

Great vacation packages for couples?
My parents will celebrate their 25th anniversary this year of being married. I want to do something really special for them. I want to know if there are any great websites I can go to that will help me with planning romantic getaways. I would like them to go on a vacation that has an itinerary/schedule of things to do. For example, a day full of events where transportation, food, entertainment, etc… are all included in the package. Any suggestions?
The two best options would either be the full Sybaris suites experience that includes massages or send them on a cruise to someplace they’ve always wanted to go to. Go with a Travel Agent because they can find the very best deals and plan it all out for you. Good luck. I think that is very sweet of you to do that and your parents are very lucky to have such a thoughtful child.
What tips can you give to a docent just starting out with historical tours?
I will be volunteering with some local Civil War era sites giving tours in costume. I am 20, female, and in college.
Speak at a moderate pace and enunciate your words.
Learn some little known, but fun facts about your subject.
If permitted, have a variety of information to speak about and vary your speech.
Don’t feel like you have to talk the whole entire time you are giving a tour and give people a chance to look around at what you’re showing them.
For the ladies, especially, learn about the dress of the period. See what you can find out about fashions for that time period. Don’t forget men’s fashion.
The more you know about your subject matter, the better you will be when presenting the information.
I used to work at the KY Horse Park giving horse-drawn tours and speeches to go along with the tours. It was great fun!

Arunachal Pradesh ,one of the most sparsely populated states of India, covers an area of 83743 sq. Kms. This region acquired an independent political status in January 20, 1972, when it was declared as Union Territory under the name of Arunachal Pradesh. The state of Arunachal Pradesh Bill was passed by the Parliament in 1986 and with effect from February 20, 1987 Arunachal Pradesh became the 24th state of Indian Union.
Pristine forests of Namdapha
It is a land of lush green forests, deep river valleys and beautiful plateaus. The land is mostly mountainous with the Himalayan range along the northern borders criss-crossed with ranges running north-south. These divide the state into five river valleys: the Kameng, the Subansiri, the Siang, the Lohit and the Tirap. All these are fed by snow from the Himalayas and countless rivers and rivulets.
The weather and the climate of Arunachal Pradesh are quite distinct from the rest of the country. The climate of the State is dominated by the Himalayan system and the altitudanal variations. The climate is highly hot and humid at the lower altitudes and in the valleys covered by swampy dense forest particularly in the eastern section, while it becomes exceedingly cold in the higher altitudes. Average temperature during the winter months range from 15 to 21 degree celsius and 22 to 30 degree celsius during monsoon.

Between June and August the temperature may go up to 40-42 degree celsius. The rainfall of Arunachal Pradesh in amongst the heaviest in the country. The annual average rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh is more than 350cm.
There are 26 major tribes and a number of sub-tribes inhabiting the area. Most of these communities are ethnically similar, having derived from original Mongoloid stock but their geographical isolation from each other has brought amongst them certain distinctive characteristics in language, dress and customs.
Broadly, the entire population may be divided into three cultural groups based on their socio-politico-religious affinities. The Monpas and Sherdak Pens of Tawang and West Kameng districts follow the lamaistic tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. Culturally similar to them are Membas and Khembas who live in the high mountains along the northern borders, Khamptis and Singphos inhabiting the eastern part of the State are Buddhists of Hinayana sect. They are said to have migrated from Thailand and Burma long ago and still using ancient scripts derived from their original homeland.
Buddha Statue
The second group of people of Adis, Akas, Apatanis, Bungnis, Nishis, Mishmis, Mijis, Thangsos etc. who worship the Sun and the Moon God, namely, Donyi-Polo and Abo-Tani, the original ancestor for most of these tribes. Their religious rituals, largely coincide with the phases of agricultural cycles. They traditionally practise Jhuming or shifting cultivation. The third group comprises Noctes and Wanchos in the Tirap district . These are hardy people known for their structured village society in which the hereditary village chief still plays a vital role. The Noctes also practise elementary form of Vaishnavism.
